We had a great start to our week!
As we inquire into beliefs shaped by experiences, students inquired into life and perspectives in the north and south leading up to the Civil War. They explored the different cultures, economies, and stances on the constitution.
We explored Gallon Man!!! He is a robot that shows us how many quarts, pints, and cups are in a Gallon. See if your child can recreate Gallon Man for you. Here's a sample.
We are excited and ready for Georgia Milestones this week. The kids seem relatively at ease about this week, and we want them to stay that way. Here's how you can help them stay calm and prepared:
1. Be positive - focus on trying their best and taking their time
2. Get them to bed at a reasonable time
3. Make sure that they eat a healthy dinner and breakfast
4. Let them get their energy out at home
See you in the morning!

Happy Wednesday!
We had a great day!
We started with taking a GMAS practice test. This was a chance for the kids to get on the online software, become familiar with the tools, ask questions, and practice responding to a few questions. They did great, and are ready for testing. Testing will begin on Tuesday, and go through Friday of next week. All testing will take place in the morning.
I loved watching the teams get started building their Rube Goldberg machines! This is an amazingly fun activity connected to term 5. I was unable to start it before the break. They accomplished so much already today!
Thank you so much for coming to Student-Led Conferences this evening! The kids worked so hard on their presentations. I was so proud to see them share their work with confidence. If you were unable to join us tonight, not to worry. Your child can present their conference slides to you at home!

Monday, April 9th - Welcome Back!!
Good afternoon, Families!
Thank you so much for the sweet birthday cards and treats today! It was a wonderful way to return from the break. I am so happy to be back.
We have student-led conferences this Wednesday. The kids have been working hard to prepare for their meeting with you. If you have not had a chance to sign-up (for the second time), please sign-up using the link below. Remember that we had to reschedule because of the water main break. This is your term 5 reporting.
Don't forget to look for and take the survey from Dr. Dude about how to make up the day from water main break.
We had a great start to our week, and are ready to kick off our term 6 Unit of Inquiry. I hope you had a refreshing week!
