Hi, everyone!
Our week is off to a great start! The past two days have been filled with science!!!! We are working through our simple machines inquiry stations while also developing, building, and testing our Rube Goldberg machines. I am so proud of the determination of all of our groups to test their machines and make adjustments.

We enjoyed a wonderful visit from The Atlanta Opera this afternoon! They performed The Barber of Seville, and it was spectacular! Ask your child to tell you more!
We are excited about our walking field trip to Adair Park on Friday! We will be moving through stations presented by The Decatur Historical Society. They will take us on a walk through history with real artifacts from Native Americans, The Revolutionary War, and the Civil War. WE WILL BE GOING RAIN OR SHINE. In the case of rain, we will NOT be walking, but will take the bus instead. This is, however, an outdoor field trip. Students and chaperones should plan to wear warm clothes, prepare to get wet, and have proper rain gear. Students should also bring a very small snack to be eaten while we are gone. We will have lunch upon return to school. Please email if you have any questions.
Have a wonderful evening!
