Saturday, August 23rd

To kick off rounding, we pretended we were desperate for water in the desert (the hallway), and there was an oasis at either end.  Which oasis would we move toward in order to get water as quickly as possible?  We then connected this to rounding with a number line!

Playing math Top it with six digit numbers and using place value and >, <, and = to determine whose number is the greatest!

Friday, August 16th

 We got Chromebooks out this week!!  Here, students are utilizing Google classroom to read and analyze an article about the French and Indian War to find the main idea and key details of the paragraphs within the text.




The new playground equipment is open!!!  This equipment has opened on the upper playground.  Construction crews are working to build the lower playground, which will have additional equipment.  The kids were so happy!

 We tested out small group math stations yesterday and today!   Students work with the teacher for content lessons, work on Zearn on their Chromebooks to support our content development, and spend time playing math games using dice, cards, counters, and more!


 When the air quality was poor today.....no problem!  Indoor recess was just as much fun!


 We wrote emoji stories and loved sharing with each other!
