We have made it to September!  The end of a month means that our class votes on the Superstar of the Month.  This is a class elected student who has demonstrated our essential agreements throughout the month.  Congratulations to our first Superstar of the Month, Rory!!  We are so proud of you!

We had a visit from Dr. Root to start our day, and worked in groups to discuss changes in an ecosystem that affect survival.  Groups were given scenarios and asked to determine the positive and negative impacts that their scenario could have.

We enjoyed our very first day on the upper playground today!  Ask your child to tell you more!

 Students worked on using details from a text to analyze the setting.  They were provided a text in Edmodo.  They used their iPads to open the text in an app called Good Reader.  In this app, students are able to highlight, underline, take notes, etc. on their passage, and save their work.  They used their noted taking to complete a graphic organizer.

The class was instructed to bring home their IB journals today.  They can utilize them to study for their science test.  We will need them in class tomorrow, so please return them.
