Another great day is in the books! Students were very excited to put their weather instruments to work today. While we only placed them outside today, we will be monitoring their data tomorrow and throughout the week.
As we continue looking at the Constitution, students have been reading and studying the preamble and Bill of Rights. Students looked at important amendments today and worked to describe how those amendments describe the rights and responsibilities of United States Citizens.
We continued looking at poetry today. Students looked at elements of poetry and worked to create a book with examples of simile, hyperbole, alliteration, metaphor, onomatopoeia, and personification. Ask your child to give you an example!
We are also working on drafting our narratives. Students are getting close to wrapping up their drafts and moving to the revising and editing phase of the writing process.
Don't forget that tomorrow is Walk and Roll to school!
See you in the morning!
Homework: Read for 30 minutes, Math workbook page 137 - do not tear it out.
