Happy New Year!!!! Welcome back for the 2nd half of 4th grade! We have a wonderful, exciting, and busy time ahead of us. Thank you for coming to school today and for being on time.
We had a great start to our morning. Students received new seats, new class jobs, and were able to do some reflecting about our school year so far. They took this time to set a few goals for the remaining part of the school year. Ask your child to tell you more!!
Our new Unit of Inquiry is How We Express Ourselves. Students were introduced to our new unit and were able to begin writing down wonderings about our central idea and lines of inquiry.
We began some work with fractions today. Students added a fraction wall and fraction kit to their math journals. These are great tools that we will utilize throughout this term. Students also explored different ways that people express their mathematical ideas by solving a fraction word problem. Ask your child to tell you more!!
Thursday, at 8:00am, is our village gathering. If you are available, please join our celebration in the multi-purpose room.
I am truly excited to be back at school! See you tomorrow!
