Whew! The week is getting busier by the day.
We worked this morning to solve problems in which we determined the measurement of missing angles based on the data given. Students did a great job with this task and asked to do more!!! We also looked a quadrilaterals, and parallelograms today. Students looked as significant characteristics that make certain quadrilaterals and parallelograms special. For example, a rectangle can not be classified as a square, but a square can be classified as a rectangle. Ask your child to tell you more! They will be working on this for homework tonight.
We continued our discussion about finance. Students worked on goal setting today. They utilized their iPads to set SMART goals. Ask your child to tell you more about the assignment that they are creating.
S - Specific
M - Measurable
A - Attainable
R - Realistic
T - Time oriented
I am looking forward to another great day tomorrow as we have our last library checkout of the school year.
See you in the morning!

Whew! What a busy day! We almost ran out of time.
Students worked to discuss savings this morning. We had great discussions about a savings account vs. a checking account. We also set some short and long term savings goals. Ask your child to tell you more!
We worked to draw triangles utilizing the protractors and rulers today. Students created and labeled triangles that met specific criteria (ex: acute scalene). They will continue to practice tonight. Students should be able to sufficiently complete their assignment without the use of a protractor or ruler. If you have these instruments at home, I encourage their use.
Students were given a note card that lists their question and hypothesis for their science project. Projects are due in just over two weeks, so I recommend starting today if you have not already.
