What a beautiful day!
We continued our inquiry into the driving forces behind Westward Expansion by taking a closer look at the California Gold Rush. Students were asked to decide what they were willing to do, give up, or change to head west and have a chance to "strike it rich." Their answers were surprising! Ask your child to tell you more about their decision and opportunity cost!
Students continue to draft, revise, and edit their informative and opinion pieces. We worked diligently to complete many tasks this afternoon that were in progress. I know students are excited to have that work completed! We will begin reviewing our fictional narrative strategies, as we start our fourth and final chapter of our informative books.

Ms. Ehmer and I truly appreciate all of the collections and donations to Pennies for Patients. Our class has raise more than $800 for LLS. The final totals will be announced on Monday!
