Happy Thursday!

We began inquiring into comparing numbers utilizing place value comparison. Students were able to compare numbers in standard, unit, and word form, and create models.

We continued our inquiry into the structure of a community/ecosystem.  Students inquired into food chains and food webs.  They worked to explore needs of producers and consumers in an ecosystem to survive and how those relationships help sustain the structure of an ecosystem.  Ask your child to tell you more!

Students continued to add details to their personal narratives.  We explored a chapter from The Moon and I and worked to locate sensory details.  Students used these examples to go back into their writing pieces and work to add sensory details of their own.

Next Tuesday at 6:30pm, we will have 4th Grade Curriculum Night.  We will start at 6:30 in our classroom.  You will get to here more about IB, F.AVE, and our Classroom operations.  I hope to see you all there!
