Happy Monday!
We have a super busy week ahead. We started by utilizing snap cubes to model equivalent fractions today. Students were able to create shapes using different quantities of cubes. They then represented simple fractions by dividing their shape equally. They found equivalence in their modeling. Ask your child to tell you more.
As we continue exploring the causes of the American Revolution, I can tell that students feel passionate about the colonists and are truly understanding how the challenges that they faced created conflict. Ask your child to tell you more about The Proclamation of 1763, Stamp Act, Sugar Act, Tea Act, and Townshend Act.
We continued to explore essay writing today. Students discovered what great free writing for essays looks like. They utilized their strategies for choosing a topic and were able to free write for an extended period of time about their topic.
Please check your child's communication folder for their report card and Nagliere report. If you have any questions please e-mail me.
