We had a very productive day! Students worked to complete their math stations for the week. We continued learning how to play with fraction dominoes. This works to compare equivalent fractions.
After a trip to the library, students continued their study for The French and Indian War. We reviewed our information about the causes of the war. Students then utilized their close reading techniques to take notes on and analyze a passage about the war and it's outcome. Students were able to better understand why colonists were angry, and how their challenges led to conflicts.
This afternoon, we learned a strategy to help us gather ideas for opinion writing. Students were able to take something important to them and write about it. Ask your child to tell you more!
Homework: Read for 30 minutes, Spelling, Math
Upcoming Dates: We have several important events coming up in the next two weeks.
