Tuesday, November 12th

Lots of learning taking place today!  We continued our study of fractions.  Students were challenged to order fractions on a number line.  They worked in groups and rotated around the room.

We discussed convex and concave lenses today and explored their properties.  We also discovered how each lens changes light and and reflection.  Students were given the light portion of their summative.

We created a taxation without representation situation where students were taxed in the classroom.  They gained more understanding about how the colonists felt.  Ask your child to tell you more!

Tomorrow:  We will have our walking field trip to the Agnes Scott Planetarium tomorrow.  It is supposed to be very cold tomorrow, with highs in the 40s.  Please be sure you are dressed appropriately for the chilly weather.

Homework: Read for 30 minutes, Math practice.
