We began exploring a text that has a similar to the structure of a text book. Students are identifying reasons that textbooks are challenging to read and how the text features can assist us with understanding the text.
Students began working to explore a simple machine. They are working on a brief presentation, which will be presented to the class tomorrow.
We are continuing to explore decimals. Today we began comparing and ordering decimals. Students worked to draw area models and number lines to model their fraction comparisons.

Thursday we are hosting our 3rd grade friends from Glennwood.
Next Friday, we are excited to have Chris Grabenstein joining us for an author's visit. If you wish to pre-order books, the order forms went home in red folders today. They due no later than Friday.
Also due Friday, Variety Show forms. If you wish to participate send your form to me.
