We had a great morning!  Students expanded their division models today.  They were able to model the distribution of number discs from the 10s to the 1s place in order to find their quotient and determine their remainder.  We are beginning partial quotients tomorrow.

We also began looking at and discussing the phases of the moon.  We discussed whether or not we always see the same side of the moon.  Ask your child to tell you more!

I had a sub after lunch and received a great report!  Great work Superstars!!!

We are looking forward to our walking field trip to Adair Park tomorrow.  We are leaving the school around 8:15/8:30 and will return between 11:30 and 12:00.  Don't forget to bring your lunch if you did not pre-order a lunch with me last week.  Don't forget to wear comfortable clothes, and bring money for the store if you wish to purchase anything.

I will be sending home a study guide for the 13 colonies and for our moon phases.  Students can look over them as many times as they need to between now and then end of next week when we will take our assessments.  Remember that there may be material on the study guides that we have not yet covered because we still have time left in the term.
