It was another successful day on The Ave. Students completed set up for their writing research and joined the Google Classroom. We will begin researching on Thursday.
They smiled big for their pictures in the beautiful weather this morning, followed by completion of the mid-module math assessment on multi-digit multiplication using place value strategies.
We explored Time For Kids for information on exploration. Turns out that a ship searching for the Northwest Passage to Asia was discovered in September. Ask your child to tell you more! We then cut our TFK apart to create posters for nonfiction text features.
Looking Ahead
Don't forget that the spelling can be done at your own pace. The nights listed on the spelling homework are suggestions, but please do what works for your schedule. You may even need to break the homework into even smaller chunks.
The reading passage about the explorers is great review and is not due until Friday. The single page front and back is a study guide that is helpful for practice.
Blog
Don't forget that you may access the blog at anytime by going to www.sanderssuperstars.blogspot.com. There are times when I am not able to post my blogs until after 8:00. These times are limited, but do occur. If you are curious about the day, check it out. Also, the Upcoming Events section of the blog is updated for a month in advance. You can find the schedule of many important school and classroom events there at any time. You have to visit the blog site to have access to the upcoming events in the side bar, as well as many other resources. Check it out!!
Have a fantastic evening! Walk and roll to school is tomorrow!
