Happy Friday!
Thank you so much for joining us yesterday for our Student-led Conferences. The students were so excited to have you here and to share their learning from Term 5 with you.
We had a busy morning! We continued to utilize standard and metric conversions to model and solve multiplicative comparison word problems. Students also completed a short review of equivalent fractions and played a comparing fractions game.
We enjoyed our Village Gathering this morning! Thank you for coming! Our class will be hosting the Village Gathering for Term 6. It will be on the last morning of the school year. Stay tuned for details!
Students inquired into what makes a responsible citizen and the difference between personal and civic responsibility. Ask your child to tell you more!
They enjoyed some grammar review today, using alliteration to create an alphabet page. These creative kids had a blast working on this and will continue next week.
We have a very busy and important week ahead of us. We will begin our Georgia Milestones (GMAS) testing on Tuesday. We will test every morning, Tuesday - Friday, and again the following Monday. Students will not be given homework next week, should go to bed early, and eat a healthy breakfast. We will continue to review content and introduce new concepts throughout the week. We will also have our field trip on Friday to DHS. Thank you for your help with getting students to school on time so that they can be prepared to begin their day.
Stay tuned in the coming weeks for information regarding our class' MAP testing schedule and Field Day.
Have a fantastic weekend!!
