We had a wonderfully busy day!
Congratulations to Jake!!! He is our class elected Superstar of the Month for March (we're a little behind :)). We are so proud of you!!
Students inquired into communicating like a scientists. They utilized their fingerprints to describe and illustrate effectively. They were able to compare their fingerprint with others and work to determine a good way of sharing our data.
We inquired further into responsible ways we can use our beliefs to influence others. Students analyzed political cartoons from the Women's Suffrage Movement. The explored the symbols and words represented in the cartoons, and inferred which side the cartoon may represent (Suff or Anti), providing evidence to support their inferences. Check out the cartoons below!
Students worked to develop reasons to support their I believe thesis. They worked to think about others and how their thesis may help them or what others could learn from this belief. Ask your child to tell you more!
Important:
Each student will need to send in a plain white shirt to use for field day. The goal is to have all of our shirts here by next Thursday. We have parent volunteers coming next Friday to help our class tie dye our shirts. Thank you!!
