Monday, April 11th

Welcome back!  I hope you enjoyed a restful week off.

Ms. Ehmer and I were so excited to see everyone today and hear about trips and activities from last week.  We had an interesting start to our morning.  The power was off for much of the morning, and we had two fire alarms go off.  Everyone was safe and we continued with our day as usual.  Students did a great job of "going with the flow" as we maneuvered through a different day.

We were able to begin our math for this term just a bit by learning a story about The Land of Gallon.  Ask your child to tell you about the picture!

We dissected our new Central Idea for Term 6, and our class posted some great questions related to our lines of inquiry.

If you are available to mentor a group of fifth graders for Exhibition, please read the information below complete the form in your child's red folder.

F.AVE is looking for parent volunteers to assist with mentoring 5th grade groups during Exhibition. You do NOT have to have a child in 5th grade to volunteer!

Your primary responsibility is to keep students on track and assist them with finding resources, especially those in the community. Teachers will provide guidance on your role each time you visit.

There is a more detailed letter in this week's communication folder and there will be an informational meeting next Monday, April 18 from 6-7. Your commitment is for an hour a week and teachers can accommodate your schedule. Please fill out and return the form. This is an excellent way to better understand the International Baccalaureate Program.

Have a wonderful day!
