Happy last school day in April!
We had fantastic and fun day!
Students continued utilizing model strategies to effectively model and solve multi-step word problems involving mixed units. I love how they want to keep going, even when time has expired.
We began working to prepare for our historical figures campaign. Students inquired into the qualities of a good slogan and examined and rated an campaign advertisement that was deemed successful. We are excitedly preparing to create campaign ads and slogans for our historical candidates to run for President. Ask your child to tell you more!
I gave misinformation to the students regarding field day shirts this afternoon. Students WILL need to send in a plain white shirt for field day. Please have those to school no later than Wednesday. We will need to decorate them before tie dying on Friday.
IMPORTANT CHANGE: The Variety Show has been moved from F.AVE to Decatur High School, due to air conditioning issues. Doors open at 1:15. The first set of performances will begin at 2:00. See you tomorrow!
