We have a very busy week, and today was no exception!
We are inquiring into standard conversions during math. Students have been utilizing input and output tables to look for patterns and notice the rules for determining their conversions. They are doing a wonderful job. We reviewed last night's homework this morning to answer questions and practiced with our new conversions.
We have been doing some review of our science standards. Students have enjoyed and been happy to review and refresh their memories. We will continue to review science and social studies standards this week.
Students have been inquiring into shared beliefs in a society. We explored and explained the core democratic beliefs of the United States. The class had wonderful questions and made great connections to our society's core beliefs and our country's Bill of Rights. Ask your child to tell you more!
We hope you can join us for our Village Gathering this Friday at 8:45 in the multi-purpose room. We are excited to celebrate our learning from term 5!
Students came home with a sticker (hopefully :)) reminding you of your time for your student-led conference tomorrow. You can also check the link below for your time.
Student-Led Conference Schedule
We have bee working hard to prepare. See you tomorrow!
When you come for your conference, I will have field trip forms for you to sign. We will be heading to Decatur High School next Friday, after testing, for a performance. Let me know if you would like to help chaperone our field trip. csanders@csdecatur.net
Have a great night!
