Thursday, September 22nd

We had our #bestdayyet!!

We had a great start to our day at our first Village Gathering!  I saw several of you there, but was not able to say, "hello."  Thank you for joining us!

We split into math stations today.  They run a bit differently on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays now, and everyone did a lovely job staying on task and focused.  Our focus was to create area models to represent multiplication equations when multiplying by tens.

We examined a Time For Kids today, searching for nonfiction text features and describing ways they helped us understand the text.  We also began reading, The One and Only Ivan.  This is Decatur's On the Same Page book, so feel free join us in reading.

Tomorrow is the last day to register for the Fifth Avenue 5k and Mayors Mile for the discounted price.  I am registered and the class with the most registrations (including parents) will win and ice cream or pizza party.  You can sign up using the link below.

Have a great night!
