Tuesday, September 6th

Our busy week kicked off today with diving into writing.  Students explored examples of great closing sentences and paragraphs for their personal narratives.  They worked to complete their planning/organization and add their new details to their writing pieces.

We are thrilled that we got to help The Wylde Center plant two varieties of beets!  These beets will be used for our school wide taste test in November.  We are going to continue to tending to the beets and help harvest them for the taste test.

We spent some time preparing for our zoo field work tomorrow.  We are so excited to leave tomorrow and make connections to our Unit of Inquiry!

Study guides for the Native Americans and Ecosystems assessment went home this afternoon.  The assessments will be at the end of the week.

If you have not already done so, please click the You Can Book Me link in the side bar to sign up for you parent/teacher conferences.  This will serve as your term 1 reporting.  You should select a day and time between September 19th and October 7th.  If you can not find a time that works with your schedule, please e-mail me and we will work something out.  My goal is to meet with EVERY family, and we are at about 50% right now.  Thanks in advance!!
Have a spectacular night!
