We had another busy day on the Ave!
We began are inquiry into expository writing. Students will be working generate research questions, complete research, and write a piece utilizing nonfiction text features. We are excited to get started this week with generating research questions!
We completed an inquiry activity related to exploration. Students were asked to complete the sentence, "Exploration is..." After coming up with several ideas on their own, they compared with their table mates to find commonalities. We used these to generate a class list of what we believe exploration is... Students were then given an item to explore. They utilized many techniques to explore the envelope, hoping to determine what was inside. Ask your child to tell you more!!
