We worked hard this morning on using area models for multiplication. You can find a short video for this strategy on Learnzillion.com, Quick Code: LZ1877. Students worked in stations and we did small group work to support their multiplication strategies.
We continued learning about the solar system. Students utilized their iPads to create an active model of the solar system. The model moved to demonstrate the orbits of each planet, the asteroid belt, and the Kuiper belt.
We worked to understand perspectives as we analyzed the changes that occurred in Native American tribes after their contact with European explorers. Students received an explorer study guide and will be taking their summative on Monday.
